First Time Steve Smith Took Best Player of the Year Award from ICC
Dubai: International Cricket Council announced the many players’ names for 2015 awards, in which Australian Captain Steve Smith got the award of best player of the year.
Last night a big ceremony held in ICC head office in presence of all famous cricketers for the purpose of getting their awards. Australian test and ODI captain Steve Smith got major award in first time in his career ‘best player of the year’.
For award of best one day international player of the year, the name of South African captain AB de Villiers announced. According to a news report, Steve Smith played very well in 2015, in a year he got only 13 test matches in which he scored one thousand and seven hundred thirty four runs by fantastic leading average 82.57.
Australian captain also played 26 one day international matches in 2015, scored total 1249 runs in which four incredible hundreds along with 8 fifties, he also participated in recent cricket world cup for Kangaroos in which they had won the title after eight years.
Former South African captain Faf du Plessis played well in twenty crickets in 2015 and had a best score against West Indies 119 on just 56 balls that’s why he got the award of Performance of the year.
The fantastic player of all type of cricket Brendon McCullum who had the record of machine player in the world and also took the prize of ‘spirit of the cricket’. Another Australian young fast bowler Josh Hazlewood took the award of ‘Emerging player of the year first time in career.
Former captain of United Arab Emirates Khurram Khan collected the award of ICC associates cricketer of the year because he scored very good total of 425 runs in just nine matches.
