Istanbul Suicide Bombing Kills 5 People Including 2 United States Citizen
The White House stated that Istanbul suicide bombing killed 5 People including two United States citizens, attack occurred on a pedestrian shopping street in Istanbul on early Saturday.
Spokesperson and Senior Director National Security Council at White House, Ned Price said, United States strongly condemns today’s suicide attack in Istanbul, city in Turkey.
Price added saying their feelings and prayers are for those families whose loved ones died in this deadliest attack as well wish injured will recover soon. According to officials the latest attack is the sixth suicide bombing in Turkey that shot dead five people at the spot.
One other side, at least two of the victims were Israeli citizens, confirmed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while An Israeli diplomat in Istanbul also verified that these two had American nationalities.
However, the Israeli authorities have trying to cooperate with intelligence agencies to discover whether the suicide bombing was carried out targeting only Israelis. Although two jets have were being sent to Istanbul evacuating those were injured in this explosion.
Those who got injured and died, in which majority were Israeli turned the Istanbul to take a gastronomic tour, while unfortunately they all had just eaten breakfast and suddenly blast hit all through the street.
Israeli diplomats told media that one of the victims was a 60-year-old lady Simha Damari who has four children even her husband also injured badly in suicide bombing.
According to Istanbul local media and the health ministry, majority were foreigners among 36 people injured. Although police tried to stop the attacker from an initial target but blew up himself without feeling fear of death.
After the blast, police officers immediately sealed off the area to make easier access of ambulances and a forensic team to the site where attack was done about at 11 a.m.
