Founder of the billion dollar e-commerce company AliBaba, Jack Ma prompted to CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg to take the matter of criticism against regulations and use of Facebook around the world.
One of the richest people in China and the chairman for AliBaba Group Holdings made remarks on the Facebook controversy. He said directly calling out to his fellow internet revolutionary to fix the problems for the social media platform that has revolutionized the internet over the past decade and a half.
Reporters asked Jack Ma about the Facebook controversy at the Boao Forum. At first Jack Ma tried to ignore it but soon he could not resist saying his thoughts on the problem out loud.
Facebook Company’s share has seen a massive define since it acknowledged to the fact that Facebook has shared the information of millions of users to a research analytical firm Cambridge Analytica. The very same firm helped president Trump in him being elected as the president of USA.
Users enraged at this news and its acknowledgment by company started a campaign called “#deltefacebook”. Government regulations around the world are now investigating the handling of sensitive personal information of their citizens that are users of Facebook.
At the annual conference held at Sunny Island of Hainan, Jack Ma told reports that it is time to fix this problem. It is now really a time for CEO to take this matter seriously. I personally think once he takes it seriously, problem will solve itself easily.
Zuckerberg is set to make appearance in front of congress this week to admit that the problem with Facebook was his fault.
Jack Ma also expressed his concerns about the ongoing trade war between China and USA. He said that if this continues than millions of American jobs will be lost.
