Sonam Kapoor Neerja Film Rocks at Box Office With First Week Earning
Sonam Kapoor Neerja movie has showed its best at box office in first week in homeland, based on India’s youngest recipient of the Ashok Chakra Neerja Bhanot who devoted her life saving others.
The Indian Hindi-language biographical thriller film was released on 19 February, 2016 but despite knowing the film based on bravery of an Indian purser for Pan Am, had to publicize the film in homeland as well people turn to theaters after getting positive reviews from others.

The script of the Neerja tells story how a brave young purser faced unexpected events on Pan Am Flight 73 hijack on 5 September, 1986 and saved the lives of 359 passengers by standing in front of guns of terrorists who hijack the plane with bad intention but couldn’t make what they thought.
Sonam felt honor playing its national hero role, for which she is receiving huge praise from the audience, Shabana Azmi comes out as Neerja’s mother and Yogendra Tiku plays father of her in the film.

Nonetheless, Priyanka Chopra’s sports based venture ‘Mary Kom’ bagged Rs 28 crore in its first weekend, while by Piku featured Deepika Padukone earned Rs 25 crore and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Heroine also collected Rs 25 crore.
The ‘Neerja’ may enter in 100-crore movie club until end of its second week, directed by Ram Madhvani.
