Unknown armed persons shot fatally shot in head of eight members of a family at four different properties in this part of countryside southern Ohio, while authorities has requested residents to be alert.
However, police officials have been trying to search out suspects of the shooting since the incident occurred though officers have been interrogated more than 30 people finding who those are behind the scene killed fatally seven adults and 16-year-old boy of a family whose dead bodies were discovered in residences southwest of Piketon on 22 April, Friday.
According to police officials, all dead persons were shot in their head by unidentified armed persons that shows they were attacked when slept, although attackers also targeted a mother in bed alongside her 4-day-old baby but the armed men didn’t hurt two other small children and a infant.
On the other side, Law enforcement officials have warned all residents of the region that they should consider the shooter dangerous not ordinary, while no one know the reason of the killings.
The officials have also warned members of the Rhoden family because the unidentified attackers or attacker may target next those, hence they need to be extra cautious.
During the investigation, police forces had met over 100 relatives including friends of Rhoden family at a church to find out the suspects of the case but unfortunately they couldn’t do it yet, Pike County Sheriff Charles Reader told media.
Attorney General Mike DeWine also commented saying to keep safe survivor of Rhoden family, is the only question because they can be hurt by the unidentified shooters who attacked others.
Nonetheless, the latest slayings in rural southern Ohio are being investigated by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Pike County Sheriff’s Office.
