The Punjab provincial government tweeted stating it was a blast of generator and squads of “Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory” have arrived at the place of occurrence to gather the evidence.

The blast of generator news was reported in a Lahore Defence market region taking life of 8 and making injuries to 36 people other than the blast nature was not right away made clear.

Media of Pakistan reported that there was a 2nd explosion was in addition heard in Gulberg area of Lahore. Fatalities are said to have occurred and more than 20 have been reported to be injured there in the occurrence on the main avenue packed with restaurants and shopping plazas.

An eyewitness named Khurram who is the employer of a bank in market said to a news channel that the place where he works shook by a “terrifying” bang. “We all left the construction at once and observed that motor-bikes which were parked outs were on flames plus all the surrounding windows of buildings were devastated,” the eyewitness, Mohammad Khurram, stated.
