Pakistan Won First T20 Against New Zealand By 16 Runs


Auckland: Pakistan Cricket team won the first twenty international against New Zealand, guests gave target of 171 runs on loss of 8 wickets in which Mohammad Hafeez played well with fantastic 61 runs and hosts did not achieve that aim and lost match by 16 runs.


According to a news report, Pakistan cricket team toured to New Zealand after a long time and started game with playing first T20 in which guests played very well and won that contest by 16 runs with the help of fantastic bowling and batting.

Pakistani captain Shahid Khan Afridi won the toss and elected to bat first against hosts and his decision proved successful when right handed batsman Mohammad Hafeez made 61 runs with help of two big sixes and 8 fours and Ahmad Shahzad invested his 26 runs.

Green Shirts also showed aggressive style of cricket because when Afridi took the batting responsibility along with Umer Akmal he made fantastic 23 runs on just 8 balls in which 2 fours and 2 long sixes introduced for supporters by Pakistani skipper.


New Zealand also took good start by openers and played very fast cricket toward huge target. Kiwi captain Kane Williamson also introduced his fantastic captaincy innings with 71 runs and made good position in match. Another batsman Colin Munro also showed his class with half century on just 24 balls.

Black Caps failed to achieve target of 171 runs because only three batsmen crossed double figures performance against Pakistani bowlers. Criminal recorded fast bowler Mohammad Amir presented better game and get one wicket with good average.

Captain Shahid Afridi also played well and got Man of the Match award in result of 24 runs and two big wickets. Another fast bowler named Wahab Riaz took three wickets and Umar Gull played international cricket after long time and got two wickets.
