Small Plane Crash in Nepal Kills All 23 People Abroad


The news of a small plane has also confirmed by the Nepal’s aviation minister as its debris has been discovered in distant mountainous area as well one Chinese and one Kuwaiti among 23 people abroad who all are reportedly died.


The finding report of the Twin Otter turboprop aircraft was confirmed by the Ananda Prasad Pokharel saying the wreckage of small plane discovered in the western district of Myagdi on Wednesday nevertheless all dead bodies were scattered around it.

Crashed plane was being conducted by the domestic Tara Air, took off from second largest city of Nepal, Pokhara to land at Jomsom, while flying time is said to be 8.15 a.m. local time but suddenly lost contact, authorities defined.

The minister for culture, tourism and civil aviation, Mr. Pokharel added the small plane was found completely burnt state in Solighopte, Myagdi district.

It was also mentioned it was bit difficult to announce how dead bodies were scattered around the plane whereas more security agencies have been sent to where the incident occurred to investigate what the reason behind the crash.

The Nepali authorities have also sent troops as well helicopters to find Myagdi, a mountainous district located at distance of 220km to west of Kathmandu where wreckage of the Tara Air was discovered.

According to the airline, the plane was carrying 20 passengers as well as three crew members even one a Kuwaiti and a Chinese citizen were also aboard.

Those among the dead people belonging to Nepal, two children reportedly of the victims, though the officials explained the plane disconnected with air traffic control about eight minutes following its departure from the western town of Pokhara to Jomsom on early hours Wednesday morning.
